You need to tell your mom (or both parents, if dad is around) to take control of him. Children only act like total jerks if they think they can get away with it...he needs to be taught that he can't. I cussed at my mother ONE time, and one time only, because she washed my mouth out with dish soap.

Oh boy. This is something your Mom should be dealing with not you.

Your Mom needs to punish your brother with "time outs' or taking away privileges and she needs to be consistant each time. She really needs to get a handle on this soon because your brother will get more out of control as he gets older. Do you have a grandmother you can talk to about this? Since you haven't mentioned a Dad, I guess he's not around eh??

When your brother gets like this you should probably remove yourself from the situation so your Mom can take over. Go to your room and close the door. Tell her what you are doing & why. Talk to her about how you feel and how it worries you, then maybe she'll start to get firm with your brother.

Good luck...

How is he around others not you and mom? Does he act normal? If so Then he is doing this because it is allowed. He is old enough to know that this is not acceptable. Set boundaries and be firm on his punishment make sure that it will be something he doesn't want. Example if he is into video games tell him that next time he acts up he will loose game privileges for a week. See if this works.

You say this just started 2 months ago? Something must have happened to change him like this. Can you think of any changes at home or at school or with his friends? If you don't know what happened, you (or more specifically your mom) need to find out. His dad too, if he's around and helpful.
Once you know what caused the change, you can help him find a better way of dealing with it.
