No, it's like if we're all taking a class that's way too advanced for us to understand...The ones who pass are the ones who ask the professor for help...

It's totally unfair, because there are children out there that have no concept of God and they have never done a sinful thing in their lives. Then they go and die because of rebel/governmental violence in their country, and because they didn't know Jesus and God they will automatically go to hell. They did nothing to deserve an eternity in damnation. Plus what gives Christians the right to judge the rest of us non-christians like they do. All christians want to do on Yahoo answers is spread hate for all the non-believers, then they tell us all that we're all gonna go to hell. Because of Christians I will never be a christian. I'm too afraid that I might become one of them, and I'll be closed minded, biased, and judgemental. That scares me more than anything.

Christianity is far from a benign religion (see Spanish Inquisition). I have become agnostic over the years, and I'm not sure if I ever believed any of the dogma. I question any religion which is backed with the threat of eternal damnation. Religion is a billion-dollar business, don't fool yourself. And during the Bush Administration, Christianity has become just another lobbyist group influencing our government 'leaders'. Do you really believe that Bush spoke to God as he claims? What a farce. Christianity simply tries to scare people into 'believing'.

Your argument has been repeated through centuries. It's nothing new to Christianity. Even the Pharasiees asked for a sign.
The point is that good people don't go to heaven, saved people do. The entire point is to realize that your best isn't good enough. And it's extremely prideful to be resentful and bitter that your best isn't good enough. In Christianity, getting to heaven depends on what or whom you trust to get there. If you trust in your good works, then essentially you are saying, the sacrifice of Jesus was in unnecessary and that you can get to heaven apart from Jesus. But Jesus claimed that "no man comes to the Father but by Me." If it's based on living a good and moral life, then just how good is good enough? How will you ever know? What's the criteria? Just do your best and hope to get in?
You also say that it should be good enough that a person is doing something simply "because it's the right thing". That sounds logical, but who determines what the right thing is? If there is no God, then you have no right whatsoever to tell me that murder, or rape or any other terrible thing is right or wrong since morality is measured in terms of what one ought to do and who are you to force your morals of what one ought to do down someone else's throat?
If Christianity is true then the "right thing" is doing what God has asked which is more than just trying to be caring and loving.

There is no burning torturous hell.
If you believe in life after death,
If we won't have our physical bodies, how can we be hurt with pain?
Christians say anyone who don't believe in god are doomed and demon-possessed to be bad, yet, you don't see regular, ol' people running around on killing sprees (usually)
Why should we fight what feels natural to us?
For example, sex is an impulse, yet if we do it *outside of marriage, reguardless of whether if your in love or not* we're "going to hell."
Personally, I think it was a big tactic back in bible-writing days to reduce the numbers of babies born to parents out of wedlock, which I can see why, but now theres birth control and common sense. (I'm not saying we should go out and hump a million people, but, it's an instinct. Like eating and sleeping.)
And also, some Christians can't accept that some people just aren't born with that "spiritual" sense. I feel no connection to anything, and any sort of paranormal (including god-stuff) just gives off a bad sense. Like those people are completely oblivious to the world around them.
The human brain is capable of so much crap we don't even know about yet. So when man came to ask how all these things came to be, there was no explanation, so they had to come up with SOMETHING.
Ancient Egyptians thought the sun was a god (Ra) and now we know it's a big ball of fiery gas. (a star.)
So what will happen if we figure out how the world started?
Religion will go up in flames.
But not "hell's."

Its not unfair - it is simply assinine to beleive that...
If Christianty is true, then that means that Jeff Dalmer is enjoying Heaven, after having killed many boys, having sex with their corpses, and eating their flesh - then repenting. Meanwhile, the likes of Marie Curie (discovered the xray, thus saving many lives), Einstein (no need to explain his contributions) and the Dali Lama are all rotting in Hell.
Go figure.
Then again, Molly does have a point - how much easier can life be to live it in any fashion you want, lying, stealing, raping and killing your fellow man, then simply ask for forgiveness to gain entry!!! Yes, thats a game plan for a great world, isnt it?

"UNFAIR"... do you realise that your invoking a moral law?? That by your statement, your appealing to a sense of right and wrong???
By the way, its your SINS that condemn you to hell not NOt beliveing in Jesus. BUt you would have to repent and trust in the Savior in order to do so. Truth by definintion is EXLUSIVE not inclusive. thats why there cannot be another way.
Also, any person can be sincere, BUT HE CAN ALSO BE SINCEARLY WRONG. THe Bible says, "there is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death" (proverbs 16:25).
There are many cases each year where kids playing with a gun, point it at someone, thinking its emtpy, fire and kill the other kid. The now "murderer" says " I didn't know it was loaded"----- That person may be 100% sincere but he was SINCERELY believing somthing that was not true.
If being good, was all you needed to get into heaven, why did Jesus have to die? (a fact, and i will gladly sustain it) The reason is because we are all wicked inside.

Christians believe in the exclusive claim of Jesus being the only way provided by God to be forgiven of our sin. It does not matter how "good" we are, or think that we are, we all continue to do things that separates us from God and other people (sin). If you agree with the commandments that it is not right to kill, lie, steal, etc., then you agree that there is moral truth and that they define what is sin and the "right thing" to do.
If you agree with they are the right thing, how about agreeing with the first few commandments, which are about our belief in God. Not doing these makes us guilty of sin against God, just as the others make us guilty of sin against other people. You can look sin as things that hurt our relationships with others, and can hurt us as well if we care and love about them.
If you hurt another, what is required to restore the relationship? You express to them that you are sorry for the hurt you have caused, and try to assure them that you will stop doing those things. The relationship is dead until that person forgives you, that they are willing to take a chance and trust you again. It is an act of love and caring from both sides that enables it to happen. This is what repent means.
God sent Christ to die in our place for our sin. The hard evidence is in the restored relationship with God. Believing in who Jesus was and what He did is required before we can repent and ask for God to forgive us for our sin. That little bit of faith about the possibility that Jesus is the way, then allows us to experience the living God as a reality in our life. There simply is no other way that He has provided. No other name, beliefs or religion can restore us again. He is our Savior.
Millions of people have found "the way", as Christianity was once called. Correspondence with God is restored. Miracles happen everyday, and the most important proof and hard evidence is in the changed life of the believer. They now have a dynamic, ongoing relationship with the living God.

This is a very common question, one I used to ask myself and it was never answered by those I asked it too. Allow me to answer it for you! :)
Why would someone caring and loving still go to hell? You are still infected with sin. Until that is removed from you like the disease it is, you can not be in the presence of God. He will not live with it. He has given you a way to clean yourself of it, you choose if you want to or not. He is going to toss all sin into the lake of fire, if sin is in you, then into the fire you go. He doesn't WANT to throw you in, that's why He gave you a way out! You need only accept it.
No miracles happening today? Yes, there are not any bible sized miracles happening at the moment, but that will soon change. Look up the end time prophecies leading to the tribulation. The stage is being set for many miracles to happen, sadly many people will perish when they come. In fact by the end of the tribulation, 75% of the worlds current population will be gone. It will be amazing to see those things happen, it will also be terrifying knowing who is sending them and NOT be saved. God is giving this last generation time to repent and turn to Him before the end events start. He is showing as much mercy as possible before the final scene begins by giving you as much time as He can allow for you to turn around.
You want proof? Pick up the bible, read what the world would be like at the end, at the things that are to happen, at the things the world leaders say openly, then look at the world you live in. The bible says that in these days world leaders would say "Let us destroy Israel and it's children, that it's name would no longer be remembered.". Have you not heard on the news the call for Israel to be wiped off the map? Open your eyes, your proof is in front of your face, you need only accept it for what it is and accept the gift the Lord offers you.

I'm sorry you haven't experience the miracles of God. I have. He has healed my terminal cancer from my body. He has confirmed time and time again he hears my prayers. I'm unafraid of his second coming or death for that matter. I'm not perfect and I try to walk on that righteous path. But then again, That's why Jesus died on a cross. "For the Forgiving of sins" Its by grace, I'm with faith for eternity.

if you look back on the history of the world, you will see that when Ceasar Augustus was king of Rome there was a cencus that was to promote fair taxation, which really promoted corruption, that's off the subject but the point is this; there is proof in the Bible (in the book of Luke for he was a Gentile, or outsider to the Jews). and he has not left the world, have you ever wondered how people miraculously were rescued by someone who does not exist? that is because all people have angels looking over them and what is why God has not left at all.
