I'm no car expert, but I have never known a Toyota owner who has ever had a problem with their car. Toyotas also last a VERY long time. I can't say the same about Fords.

Toyota is definitely more dependable, better resale because of this. After a few years the Toyota's still feel and drive like new where as the Fords are falling apart. Ford better look out, Toyota is getting into the full size truck market.

In its history, Toyota has been tops in the auto industry. As for the future... well, I don't know. Toyota still has good stuff, but they have really been suffering from a lack of quality, with the Camry, Avalon, etc. We have yet to see how the Tundra holds up, and I kind of have my doubts.
Ford on the other hand, is really breaking into the idea that Americans want reliability and quality, and have built those into their newer offerings, like the Fusion and Five Hundred and Edge. 2008 Super Duty has got to be the ultimate truck, domestic or otherwise.
