My sister has no confidence what so ever and i have to admit, she is very pretty but because people compare us, she is very insecure with herself and constantly is calling herself fat and ugly and just 2 minutes ago she just said i called her fat and ugly (when i did no such thing what so ever) and just locked herself in her room. I never felt so mad before, and i finally can't take it anymore with her attitude and her complaining. I love my sister to death and all but sometimes I don't want her complaining every 2 seconds. Please, any advice would suffice, thanks:)

I think people like ur sister just need someone to gently pat them on the shoulder every now and then and tell them how pretty they are occasionally. I think on the deeper saide of things she somehow lacks self confidence and so u need to remind her on and off of her good qualities as well.

If you have the money, take her to a mall that's not the "local mall" and maybe take her to a more upscale, classy one, but one that still has stores with your budget in mind. Take her out and buy her an outfit that makes her look fabulous, and take her to one of the department stores and let her get a makeover and buy her one of the items, such as a foundation or eyeliner, that she could use. That stopped a lot of it when my sister was like that. Or go out to a nice bar or club and let the guys go to her (if you guys aren't married, etc.). Good luck!

I know how your sis feels, I have an older sis that everyone compliments and so on and i feel so left out...I just start assuming that i'm nothing and put urself in her spot you pry wouldn't have a ton of confidence either. My best guess for getting her confidence back is doing something fun that will make her laugh or spend some bonding moments together...I can relate a bit tho.

If she complains of being fat, then she should go to the park every afternoon and do some excercise she shouldn't feel ugly because she should LOVE HERSELF the way she is.

Try talking to her tell her you didn't call her fat and ugly and it was just an misunderstanding.She will understand. My sister does the same thing. If that doesn't work try talking to your parents about it. Tell your sister that she is pretty and NOT fat and you have respect for her.

Mabye you should give her some space. My sister was very popular and always in my face and my business and it did my head in. So perhaps give her some room and she'll come to you.
Don't tell her her **** isn't fat because that will make her even more angry. And don't tell her her **** is fat because that will make her more angry.

Tell her what's bothering you. Tell her that she is pretty and not fat, if she refuses to listen then let her go,what she's doing is making her problem yours and it shouldn't be. She wants attention. Don't give it to her, she's acting immature. She needs to well, get a life.

Just try to spend time with her..... take her out just the two of you and show her that she is a very pretty person! Have talks with her.... I wouldnt worry too much, could be just a phase...

Umm, accualy , i think she is hinting she wants a complament. Next time try giving her one for no appernt reason. She will probaly pretend not to hear you or like it doesnt faze her , but if she is like me , she will be smiling in the inside!

I think you should find her a blind date with a very cute and handsome boy, give her a lot of comliments, and find her some hobbies so that she can enjoy something in her life.
