Obviously bananas do not help with heartburn. Find out the cause of your heartburn and treat that. Do antacids like Tums help with your heartburn?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have the same problem. I would sure like to know... bananas give me bad heartburn every time I eat them, yet all the articles say how great they are for heartburn.... what gives?

Bananas also gives me heartburn, I can tell you how to releave heartburn. take about a table spoon of baking soda and mix it well with a glass of water, then drink, in a few seconds you will burp and your problem will be gone, the mixture will taste salty but it really works good

I will be interested in the answer to this as well. I have read the same info that bananas help w/ HB. They are actually one of the only foods that give me heartburn.

doesn't relieve heartburn for me! Plenty of water to dilute the acid and milk but if it gets too bad get some ranitidine and go to the docs - my hubbies heartburn turned out to be stomach ulcers

Bananas do not mix well with other foods and are best consumed as a snack in between meals. Including bananas in a meal can give you problems and that may perhaps be your problem if you eat your banana with a meal.
