NO your not really responsible, simpley because you tried to save her seat but, once you get up from a machine at a casino you loose it, its kinda like if you move it you loose it at least that is what i was always told. Yes you were nice and polite, but it was not your responsibility in the first place.
good luck and have a Great Day

You were in a public place. The newcomer had as much right to sit down to that machine as she did; she's the one that got up and left, never mind why. She knew fine and well you couldn't "save" her machine for her! If she had a friend with her, who could have played her slots or pretended to, that would have been different. But never agree to do something you can't do, for someone you've never seen before. She could have done something worse than just rolling her eyes...or the guy could have got nasty as well.

nope one anyone leaves the post, it's open for the next taker.
rules are rules.
sounds to me the lady is a bit addicted and has issues with "first come, first serve"
you did more than you should have. don't feel bad.. gamblers are manipulators. the female who asked this of you should be ashamed of herself.
relax... don't let it happen to you again.. it's a trap that could turn sour in a deadly way.

NO. I don't EVER say anything to someone just to be nice.
I say what I mean, and mean what I say.
If you didn't mean you would watch it, you should have said NO. Sorry. Since you told her you would watch it, you should have told the person who sat down that he could only stay until she returned. Then when she got back you should have told dude to leave.
If you don't have your word, what do you have?

I would have said listen lady you can fight with him (and pointed at the guy). Then say I did watch it - I watched as this guy sat down and started playing!

Something like that is not your problem. She is the one with the issues. Just mind your own business. That the best advice I personally can give you. Don't forget that responding with people with honey is much better than vinegar.

Yeah, that sucks. I wouldn't worry about it because you would have had no reason to start beef with someone you don't even know. You didn't owe anything to the person who asked you to watch their seat.

You did say it was taken, that was all you could do. What'd she expect, you'd physically stop the guy from sitting down?
