Why not? Single women do it all day long right? If you want a child and you do not want to go thru the conventional way of doing things then by all means adopt. Love a baby that has been given up, you will do the WORLD a great blessing :)

I'ts ok if u are doing this for the right reasons, which would be to provide this child, with a safe loving nurturing home and environment, whether u adopt a girl or boy, adopting a human being is sure not in any way close or near to adopting a pet., its alot more responsibility, ...so if u are willing to give up the freedom u have as a single bachelor and to provide this child, with good values at home and true love & care, then go ahead , wish u all the luck!

of course it's alright!! It's wonderful every time a child is adopted into a stable and loveing home.

Best of luck to you!

(I actually have a male friend who adopted his son four years ago. They are as happy as can be!)

As long as you don't abuse the child go ahead. Think clearly what this means and what you will all have to do to make the child fit in. (Don't get a female child as people will think you are weird) The word successful means a lot and use that for the best for the child.

Offcourse it's ok. And it is not weird at all. As long as you know that it is not an easy road. All the crying can drive you up the wall. You need lots of patience and lots of love for kids in order to take up the challenge. Because that is what it is a CHALLENGE, and you must be up for it. Good luck

Yes, wanting a child is not a female thing. If you want a child, can support the child emotionally and financially then go ahead.

There are many agencies (adoption) that would work with a single male...there are some that will not. If you truly want to adopt...there is a way!

Yes, people do this all the time. I do, however, suggest that you try hanging out with some little kids first to get some idea of what you are getting into. It's the toughest job you'll ever love.

Absolutely! If you can provide a healthy, safe, nurturing environment for a child to grow up in, your gender/status should not be a factor!

take a weekend and examine YOUR motivation....what if anything do you hope to gain from adopting the child?
if your motives are selfless then rejoice and adopt and share your joy with all...
but if your motives be selfish better to befriend a family and show your mercy to those that need it not than to never show mercy at all.
in my humble opinion
peace
