My license is suspended in Pa. until 2012 but my company transferred me to California to work and they want me to rent a car and travel around the state looking at job sites, is there any way I can apply for a license in Calif. without them finding out that my license was suspended? and if they do find out, can I apply for a work permit? I don't know what to do to resolve these tickets that I got years ago (not for speeding or DUI, just for continuing to drive without a license, or a non registered car, etc.)

No, you cannot get a license in California, all states share info, if you are suspended or revoked in one state, it will follow you. You will need to contact PA, to find out how to clear up the situation with the fines, it will not eliminate your revocation date, you still will not be able to apply until 2012, or when the state of Pa writes you a clearance letter. You could apply for a hardship license that would allow you to drive to and from work only, traveling around the state would definately not be allowed. Your employer has the right to check your driving record, and likely will if they want you to drive long distances for them, they are allowed to see 3yrs back on the record. Good luck, hope you don't lose your job over unfinished business......................
