You will have to find a place that will let you apprentice under them for at least a year. It will probably start out as you helping them fill inks and clean up and you will not make any money so you will still want to keep a normal job. It usually takes a couple of years and usually you will have to become state certified afterwards. if you live close to nashville their are lots and lots of tattoo parlors there, i go to one on church street in down town they are really good. Why not stop by your local tattoo parlor and ask the folks there ? They should know.
