alzheimer programs?

my friend is an only child, and her mother has alzheimer. She wanted to quit working and move her mother into her home to take care of her, but was informed that they would stop the assistance that they are sending her mother. what type of programs are there to help out. If she quits work then the hardship on her own household begins. What can she do. Thanks

That sort of depends on where she is. Here in Australia there is social security and a form of carers pension that might apply.

She should talk with a social worker who would know the ins and outs of the money arrangements of what she is about to embark on.
