u need to wash it with soap and water.apply any type of cream that is made for cuts to help prevent infection..if you don't have any just try to keep it clean with soap and water and put a bandage on it

The "weird brown stuff" may be dried blood. Kind of gross, but not too bad. If it starts to get really hot, swells, or has pink lines streaking away from the wound, then you probably have an infection. If you just cut yourself, it won't be infected yet. Infections take a few days to develop. If you were shaving in the shower, the chances for infection are pretty slim, unless you never change your razor. Stop using the alcohol, keep the cut clean, and don't touch it too much.

If this just happen it is unlikely it is infected yet. wash it thoroughly with warm water and soap. cover it with a gauze pad or band aid to keep germs/bacteria from getting to it. When you can, get some ointment to apply- you should be fine. Keep it clean with soap and water. Don't use alcohol- peroxide if you don't want to use soap and water. keep it covered until the skin edges go back together.
signs of infection: redness (if it just happened there may be some redness now just from the trauma to the skin- this will go away- but if it gets red AROUND the cuts later on, it could be infected); warmth around the wound; red streaking running up the length of the extremity; pus; swelling (again, if it just happened not too long ago, it may be slightly swollen around the wound due to the trauma to the skin- this will go away, but if it returns it could mean infection)
If this just occurred, you should be fine- it takes a while for bacteria/germs to get into a wound and begin to infect. keep it clean and covered and you'll be fine. Make sure your mom checks it out when she gets home to make sure it's not too deep to need stitches. good luck.

Was it a rusty razor? If so you need to get a tetanus shot before you get real sick!! If the razor was clean then you should be OK. Use some type of triple antibiotic and peroxide. If you can leave the cut exposed to dry it out!!
Keep a close eye on it and avoid contact with raw food!!

You need to stop using the alcohol and get some Neosporin cream. It's an antibiotic. In a tube at the drug store.

sounds to me like you have blood poisoning,or close to getting it if there are lines coming from it and it has brown stuff in it ! you need to show it to your mom as soon as possble, she might need to take you to the emergency room!
