I think you mean a purebred. If it has registration papers, it's a purebred cocker spaniel.

Well... if its a purebred dog (both parents were full-blooded spanials of the same type) then yes... they would be considered "pedigree". The cocker spanial is recognized by the AKC and most other purebred organizations.

There are 2 types of cocker spaniel, the English and the American. Both are purebred dogs recognized by the AKC, with very different looks and personalities.
