just because of a few bad elements how can u form an opinion about the whole community?if u cannot respect something atleast DON'T SHOW DISRESPECT TOWARDS IT.Its my humble request to everybodyplzz do not show disrespect towards any religion for tht matter.PLEASE.

As-salaamu 'alaykum. Thank you sister. These people don't realize that not all Muslims are "Jihadists" who are bent on killing "infidels" to ensure their place in Heaven with "72 virgins."
Many of us are normal people living lives very much the same as many Christians, Atheists, Jews, Wicca, Pagans, Hindus, etc.
Just because there is a small group out of the 1.4 billion followers of Islam that are killing "in the name of Allah", does not mean we all are.

No one hates Islam. People hate fanatics. Islam is the modern religion as it is very scientific is you look very close. The world would have been a better place if people followed the Koran. Even some Muslims do not read and understand the dictates of Koran. What Koran says is the gist of any other religion, if you look very close.

When Islam as a culture returns to the enlightenment of the High Caliphate, it will have my respect. Without the High Caliphate, the wisdom of the Greeks, and of the Library of Alexandria, would have been lost to the world. The sciences and arts were the most prized posessions of the High Caliphate.
Until then, it's worthy of nothing but derision and the disrespect its fanatics bring upon it.

You are yourself woefully short on info about who or what constitutes the good & the bad.
How can you say with such authority & certainty that there are certain 'bad elements' in our community & most importantly as if we know & accept who they are. ?
We may have a few just as Christians have few, Jews have few, Hindus have few & Budhists have few within their own communities. But why should only we be apologetic? Has the pope ever regretted the birth of Hitler in Christianity? Have the Jews regretted Ariel Sharon or such other mass murderers?
Moreover, aren't Muslims fighting for liberation from occupying forces everywhere? Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Algeria, Kashmir, Chechnya, Bosnia, Kosovo are all places where Muslims are being killed in their homeland.
They are fighting for their survival & you call them terrorists?

Having no respect for Islam is not the same as not having respect for the people who practice it. The problem I have with Islam is the fact that it says to kill anyone who says Jesus is the son of God. Why can't Islam just let it followers live and let live? Also the ideas treat woman as less than human or the same as dogs. Why would any woman want to be a Muslim!

Let there be more importance to the person, society, culture and values of human beings. There be not any hatred inside sects of a religion or other, but to know the simple fact that each living soul is rewarded to its deeds chosen and cursed to all that is done to harm others.

I think you need to do some soul searching and ask yourself the same question. In order to earn respect, one must learn to respect the other. You do not earn it by criticizing Christanity, calling Hindus "Kafir", calling Jaws names etc. I hope you find your answer by keeping open mind and asking questions.

Many Muslims disagree with you and they are making a better and clearer case for using the holy writings of Islam to prove that violence, Jihad, and suicide killings are indeed taught in Islam. For those who disagree with them they better start proving to the world from their Koran and other writings that the others are wrong. As of now they are losing the war of proof.

Such behavior happens in any culture... misunderstanding of any culture tends to breed xenophobic tendencies, which then can push certain groups to retreat to a fundamentalist interpretation of their religion of choice. Americans who don't understand Islam do it to Muslims, Iranians who didn't understand what was going on in their own country socially AND politically did the same to the Americans... it's a huge problem everywhere. Fight it with education, patience and compassion.

In-fact there is no reason behind it. It is simply presumptions and nothing else. I don't think any religion has done anything wrong to any one. Its simply hummanbeings who are doing evil acts and that too they all belong to all different religions and not from one particular religion.

While we do not hate Muslims as people, I hate the teachings of Islam. It opposes Christ , opposes the God of the Bible, enslaves multitudes in a works based salvation that can never be achieved, has caused nothing but bloodshed since Muhammad came on the scene and still today, Christians are persecuted, tortured and murdered in Muslim countries. I have no respect for this false religion and the carnage it has caused.
