I keep getting this weird feeling in the back of my head. Sometimes when I'm walking around I feel dizzy. I constantly grab my neck and massage it thinking it may be stiff. Sometimes I think my brain is swelling. Like maybe a tumor. I have no insurance so I can't get it checked out unless its major. Any suggestions?

could it be you've pulled out a neck mussel? or maby you've slept in the wrong position and put strain on your neck. Otherwise but hopefully not it could be a type of flu, there are always new ones going around doing strange things like that. If it gets worse or you develop more symptoms then it would be wise to see a nurse but otherwise try to just take a painkiller and ride it out. hope you feel better soon.

Go to webmd.com and click on a tab that says "Symptom checker." You will be shown a diagram of a person, and with your mouse click on the area that is bothering you (head, neck, etc) Then you will be asked to narrow down the feeling/pain, and after a few questions you will be given several possible causes of your pain and a possible diagnosis. This is not meant to replace an opinion of a professional doctor whom you see face to face, but since you're saying you can't go to one, this is the next best thing. Also, even if you don't have insurance, you can still go see a doctor; just go to the emergency room and you will not be charged. You may have to spend half the day there, but if this is something that's really bothering you, I think it's worth it to find out what may be wrong.

I had something similar a couple of years ago. Dr. just told me to take 400mg's of Ibuprofen, or something with motrin, every 4 to 6 hours. It is an anti-inflamitory drug apparantly so it soothes the pinched nerve.

You may have a pinched nerve in your neck. Try putting one of those heating patches on the spot where it hurts, or use a hot rag.
