Please note: Some of us do not operate by blind faith and we can see clearly the evidence for evolution and God.

Now there you go again, somebody who lumps all Christians as anti-evolutionist, or something less than rational. I'm a Christian, and I don't question evolution or the other ways I believe God has created and is creating. I try not to place God in a box of my making, and go into fits when science indicates God doesn't neatly fit in the box.
Your premise about Christ is wrong, but it's a totally different matter. One question I would ask you, however, is what is the "burden of proof" you place upon believers. Are we talking scientific method, beyond a reasonable doubt, or by a preponderance of the evidence? The second part of this is what is acceptable as evidence?
At a minimum you must concede that there does exist a great deal of evidence that many early Christians were martyred for their beliefs. I think it undeniable, that something remarkable occurred. If you are really interested in a scholarly review of all these questions, I'd recommend C. S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity". By the way, Lewis hints in the book of a most interesting evolutionary event he believes may be in the future.
Even if you're not convinced or swayed by the reading, at least you'll have an understanding of a rational approach to the questions that lie at the heart of belief.

at the end of the day, we all have to have faith in something. I for one, believe that the bible does allow for a beginning that may incorporate certain evolutionary philosophies. but at the end of the day, it still takes faith to believe in evolution and the big bang stuff.
considering the fact that Jesus' execution was a very public, and well documented one, and considering the fact that historical evidence suggests that the earliest book of the New Testament (Acts) was written within 5-20 yrs of Jesus' death - if there were contradictions, they would have been recorded by well known historians of the day. no evidence suggests any such contradiction.
all in all, it still comes down to faith. Christians shouldnt have to feel ashamed for having faith, anymore than anyone of any other religion should. And, if people insist on belittiling us by wielding the sword of science over our heads as if we were ignorant cavemen, then of course we will ask for a missing link.
no more proof is required to prove that Jesus was here and did what he did then is required of Alexander the Great, Buddah, Elijah Mohammed, Caesar, Cleopatra, etc. But for some reason, writings regarding all of the others are accepted without question, but Jesus is always questioned.
If He is that different - think about it - maybe there is a good reason why.

I think you have it reversed, sir. I don't think Christians that do not accept the theory of evolution as fact need any proof to the contrary. Indeed, these believers have all the sufficient proof of what they believe already.
Until the theory of evolution is validated as a fact, I remain confident that there has been **no scientific or historical find** that has ever been shown to disprove the authenticity of the bible's history or theology.

I second that, Base. The only proof they had was a book written by a bunch of guys... If the Bible were actually written by God himself, and the pages and cover were made of some material from Heaven, I would believe it. Maybe.

Dude, everyone needs proof for evolution.
It's there though.
THey are just so brainwashed they blatantly ignore it. I tell them about it every day, but apparantly our counting system is flawed, considering half the evidence is mathematically based.
