No. What can be the case is a person has what's called an "addictive personality". In these cases the person is likely to become addicted to nearly anything. I have also seen cases where a person is "addicted" to going to support group meetings. I think it's because they can feel accepted and, yes, supported.

Yes. The idea of being addicted can make an addict happy and thus they would be addicted to addiction because it makes them happy.

Good question. Yes. It's addicted to being miserable and wanting attention. If they get help and aren't falling apart, then no one will be worried about them like they are now they are sick.
