I got 2 speeding tickets in central CA, about 5 months ago. I didn't go to court, and they sent me a couple notices. I'm afraid to go in now, but I know I need to do soemthing or I will eventualy get caught. I jsut want to know what will happen when i go in. I'm seriously scared of going to jail. I've never been in trouble with the law in my entire life. In fact those speeding tickets were the first time i've ever even been pulled over. Someone please help :s

If you received the tickets in Sacramento I could provide you specific instructions including addresses. However, since you did not specify, I would suggest you contact your local law enforcement agency (via telephone if you are too afraid to visit in person), explain you situation and ask how they recommend you resolve your situation.

Based on my experience (10 yrs law enforcement) I would be utterly shocked if you were arrested for two failure to appear traffic warrants.

In Sacramento, the warrants bureau would simply issue you a new court date and and would clear the warrant,.

If you haven't received notice of a suspended license I wouldn't worry about you license status at this time. Before you can be held accountable for driving on a suspended license you must first be served.

Good Luck

They will turn into warrants, your License could get suspended too. I say buck up, if you were brave enough to speed, go to the judge and make the good gesture that you're willing to be responsible for them, not just hide.

Guess what, you could already be in more trouble with the law than you already know, driving is a privilege, I'm sure you know the rest.

they issue bench warrants for your arrest. you need to go in and see the judge, he may let you pay them or he may give you a few days in jail.
