As bad as it sounds from the question, he calls me stuff like buckaroo, tiger etc etc. Does it mean anything if a guy addresses you in this manner?

Tiger could be cute....but buckaroo?? doesn't sound like something you would call a gf, are you guys dating?? but you gotta see when he tells you this and if he says it in a sweet manner. If he says it sweetly maybe those are just ways he expresses his interests.

You didn't specify your gender, so I had to poke thru your profile. You are female.

It depends upon the attitude that the person is projecting when he is name-calling you. If he is teasing, or yelling, or rolling his eyes....you will know. If it bothers you, just politely let him know that you would appreciate it if he would not do this, and move on. Don't be confrontational; just professional & pleasant. If it doesn't bother you, then let it ride, and he'll eventually stop. If this is in the workplace, you can speak with a supervisor or HR Department about the appropriateness of him doing this. You may not be the only gal he's talking to like this OR he talks to EVERYONE this way. It might just be that he's trying to be nice-friendly, or sexually-friendly -----it's all in the delivery. Be careful and do what you need to do. You may want to document.

It means he was (or still is) most likely called these things by someone he admired, and views the words as ways of showing affection. It's a little weird, but I seriously doubt he means anything disrespectful or bad towards you. If it really bothers you, you need to VERRRYYYY gently suggest other silly names he can call you... whatever you do, don't attack or use anger - tell him it's not that you don't like these names, but you PREFER these names instead... like "honey, sugar, snookie" for example....

My fiance calls me stinky. Guys find pet names that don't always make sense. Chill out. If you want him to get a taste for it start calling him cupcake or pudding pie...something cute that he might not be that fond of. when he tells you to stop you tell him to stop. But again I think you're over-reacting. He could be calling you a lot worse.

Sounds like somethign an older brother would say to a younger sister. Just tell him you don't like those names.

It sounds to me as if he thinks of you a child or even his baby sister.

If he can dish it out--see if he can take it! Call him some "cute" little nicknames--maybe he'll get the hint.
