when i started learning italian i tried to listen to music as much as i could...i also looked for grammar books and online websites in order to get some basic grammar concepts...but i guess when it comes to learning a language there is only so much you can learn on your own...there will come a time when you will have to sign in a class and start interacting with other people...after all language is about communication and the best way to learn one is by using it...you can also try chats so you can meet native speakers and with the help of programs like skype you can talk with a microphone and headphones for free

The best way would be to have a native Italian speaker teach you, as they know the ins and outs of the language.

Like others have said, if you're in school (Or can enroll for a few courses) is to take it in a classroom setting.

Buying the computer or audio tapes and lessons works too, though not as well. The best way, in my opinion, is to learn the basics through a book, teacher, whatever, then go to Italy and immerse yourself in the language.

This website is very popular to learn Italian. http://www.italica.rai.it/lingua/corso.htm It really works. When you get to this website, click on the blue box, then choose the language that you want to be instructed in. This is a very popular online course to learn Italian.

I speak English, Italian, and Spanish fluenly, and I also took some courses in French, and I think that Italian is the most beautiful language in the world.

Anyway, good luck! Buona Fortuna!

+well if you're in school you can take an italian class
-and if they don't offer italian and you prefer the classroom
setting then you could take spanish because they are both
so similar to each other when you become fluent you could
still understand an italian person.

+ you could buy a computer course at best buy or circuit city.
-do a search online to find a good course because some
don't teach you very well.

+ you could find a tutor or someone who can fluently speak
italian

hope I helped =]

I'm Italian and I learned English playing and singing easy listening American music.
Why don't you buy some Italian pop music and start with that.

Italian grammar is very complex to study step by step by yourself but if you did with Arabic......!!!
