one bad experience does not account for all the thousands of good experiences that people have had, and to day are out in the community enjoying their life again. she may have some valid issues, i don't know. some people who are admitted to hospital only remember the bad things, some do not remember the events leading up to their admission, and they may not recall their behavior, due to their illness. some people that are severely mentally ill, do not know it. i doubt if she is schizophrenic, because they usually always cannot function without medications. oh it would be help full to you to read the comments along with the video. she is not very convincing

there is no way to know who does or doesn't have schizophrenia. The diagnosis process is pure guess work, and is not based on anything scientific.

Here are some examples. Do you think someone would be able to predict what's going to happen with the stock market in 10 years simply because they have a college degree in Finance? Do you think someone would be able to predict how much your home is going to be worth in 10 years simply because they passed the Real Estate License examination?

Psychiatry is the same way. Diagnosising someone with a mental disorder, such as schizophrenia, is pure guess work. Just because someone has a Medical Doctor degree doesn't make the diagnosis (the guess) any more accurate.

It's impossible to say whether this person has schizophrenia from the video. What she says about her experiences in a psych-ward should be take seriously and legal action should be taken.
