Considering that every action you make is influenced by either chemicals in your brain (supposedly designed and created by god) and the experience of the world around you (supposedly designed and created by god) you can't make a choice based upon no influencing factors, so free will doesn't exist. Also if the world was made by god then god is in control of all those influencing factors so not only do you no have free will but god is supposedly controlling your choices. If an omnipotent omniscient god created the word he knew creating it the way he did would influence people the way it did so everything that has ever happened (good and bad) god planned for and intended to happen. Even the bible agrees with me "Psalm 139:16 Says that even before you where born god had a plan for you and everything you will do is already decided. This doesn't hold up with the benevolent god who wants people to believe in jesus and gave everyone the choice to follow him or not does it really?

Nice try, you almost reworded Palms 139:16 just enough to fool someone into thinking that God contradicts His own nature. No verse in the Bible claims that God has decided every action that a man will take in his life. The verse to which you refer reveals that God is omniscient, existing outside the restraints of time and space. He is able to view and understand all that has been or ever will be. This does not mean that he interferes with free will.

The logic of determinism, of which I am familiar, falls apart when confronted with the nature of spirit - a concept which is inscrutable and incomprehensible by anyone lacking the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit itself. One's actions are not determined solely by environment, biology, and upbringing, but also by free will, a characteristic of, and unique to, the spirit.

I don't know Gods plan--the Bible tells me I don't know everything. I have changed one sentence to make it truth.

This does hold up with the benevolent god who wants people to believe in Jesus and gave everyone the choice to follow him or not, it does really!!!!

Because God knows that does not mean I know. I do what I choose, I go where I want to go. I am what I choose to be.
If you cannot accept God that is not my problem. You cannot reason God away

you know you could have really worded this much simpler and got more answers....

but to answer you question, no i dont think god has made our choices... i think we make them.. god knows what we will do and the out come of whatever we do... but we make the choices....

why would you also assume god has control over everything? just because you create something doesnt mean you have control over it...
my boyfriend and i created a daughter... yet i have no control over what she does. i can teach her what to do.. but she carries out every action.

First of all, as atheists love to say this to me, you have a lot of reading you need to do. There is not free will, as in do whatever you feel like, cause if there were, I'd be able to fly around at will. There is a free will that can be used, that once used, becomes tangled in various forces. But my point is, read more theology then we'll talk.

Free will exists and god doesn't fall apart, he doesn't have that type of human trait... even when he came down from heaven as a human... Also, you have free will, we are not puppets for God... that is why we make mistakes, fall away from him or choose not to follow him at all, but our actions that we make are a part of his plan...

God was clever enough to ensure that only fools and dreamers live in imaginary deterministic world. The real world is stochastic and probabilitic. God ensured that he does not fall apart in the real world; he left the imaginary, illusive world to fool people.
