I'm told this Earth is a so-called "sphere." Even so, how can it have 4 corners if not by God's divine will?

pillock.
The earth has "four corners" because people used to think it was flat, and that you could fall off the edge of it.
Technically, it's not quite spherical either though.

I hate to flame someone, but WHY do you have a top contributor status?

The four corners of the earth is also a metaphorical expression of the four directions North, South, East, West. (And yes, I know that if you go east or west, you will always be going east or west.)

Those four girls (witches) "called the corners", and they got an answer, so obviously, "the corners" must exist.

I think God was being metaphorical. Or sarcastic, he could have been sarcastic, you know.

Well, it'd be more of a figure of speech than a metaphor. But you get my point.

The earth is spherical (globe) shaped. There are no corners.
