they seem to tell me that dead people who come back to life arent zombies.

I'm an atheist so I'm not exactly what you're looking for but I think that zombie is one of those dual meaning words- dead people who come back to life, and mindless drones

A zombie is a corpse that is reanimated from the dead. Technically, with no brains and a hunger for brains and human flesh. And usually, zombies are under control from a master.

Zombie is a dead person that is brought back to life based on Voodoo beliefs.
Lazarus is not a zombie - Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead. Jesus did not give Lazarus some "magic juju" so Laz could do his bidding.

yeah, Christians know what zombies are. They're people or animals that died and came back to life and have a hunger for human flesh. I haven't heard of any of them being real, just in movies.

As a Christian who plays D&D...that's right, a Christian Dork...I can tell you that a zombie is a soulless, reanimated corpse that does the bidding of the reanimator, and in the absence of the reanimator, succumbs to its baser animal instincts.
