First of all, what the HELL does a "pre-engagement" even mean? NOTHING.

What this whole pre-engagement things says to me is that at least one of the people in that relationship is extremely un confident in the relationship and is trying to "lock it up" before the other person is ready. Hell, if they were both ready, they would be engaged. Right?

Figure out which one is the unstable one, the one who might not be sure that it's time to get married. I guarantee you one of them is. If it's your guy, then I would start talking to him about marriage and maybe work into the conversation how it's such a big life-changing thing and that you yourself certainly aren't ready for that kind of commitment. See if you can get the thought that he already has in his head churning around and get the seed of doubt planted. When he voices his concerns to you, you will say "well what the heck are you doing even thinking about getting married then?!" Then you show some interest and he realizes that the current chick isn't the only woman out there.

Just so you know, you'd be the rebound girl and he probably wouldn't stay with you, but hey, its worth a shot.

I'm sorry, but the whole "pre-engaged" thing died 2 or 3 decades ago. I assume you're speaking of the whole "promise" ring thing? Anyway, if you like the guy, tell him, and see where it goes. What do you have to lose? It's not like he's married or about to be anytime soon from the sound of it. Even if he says he's not interested, at least you'll know where you stand and not have to wonder about what might have been.

Pre-engaged? Whatever that means, it sounds like he's taken and you should not do anything to disrupt their relationship. So I say, walk away. It sucks but if you could have him, would you trust him knowing that you were able to lure him away? That someday another girl might be able to do the same?

What the hell is pre-engaged? Either your engaged or your not! And why waste your time? Put yourself in the girls(he is with) shoes!

What the heck is pre-engaged? That sounds like dating to me. I say keep your distance as he is involved with someone. If he becomes available, make your move.

Don't waste your time on him. Find someone new. If he's showing interest in you now when he's already with a girl he's not the kind of guy you want to be messing with anyway. Trying anything with him is only going to bring drama to the whole situation.

Leave him alone. If he is pre-engaged to another woman then where does that honestly leave you? He honestly loves her more than he will ever love you so find your hero and don't worry about him OK.

don't try and take him from her, just let him know how you feel. so if it don't work out between them he know how you felt and that there may be an opportunity for you two to get together. warning: if they do break up don't rush into nothing because then you would just be the rebound chick.

i have been in this same situation and he did leave his girl. but i didn't take my advice by not rushing into it and we got together for 2 months and the whole time he was still wanting the other girl and when we broke up he went back to her and got married. i felt so stupid.

LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!

Bury your feelings and move on to a another guy that is available.

BURY IT, BURY IT, BURY IT!!!!!

If you do this now, in the future you will meet a great guy and some girl like you is going to tell him she wants him too. Karma baby, karma is always in the air. Don't be a fool. Move on! and let this guys be happy.
