if a person is diabetic they can develope something called diabetic retinopathy which will potentially cause blindeness.

Too much sugar in your water, including the water from your tear ducts, can be a sign of diabetes.
My mum was diagnosed with diabetes with the only symptom being underneath her eyes was burnt with too much sugar. diabetes if uncontrolled can blind you.
that's the only way i can think of!

i think it sounds more like diabetes that's all to do with sugar levels and it also effects your eyesight. perhaps you should go to opticians

If you have to much sugar which makes you overweight, then you could develop diabetes which in turn can make you go blind.

Yes. Sugar is hygroscopic. It can and often does cause blurring.
It's also dangerous if you are diabetic.
