No.
Noah's flood was greatly exaggerated in the Bible. It wasn't worldwide, and Noah didn't take all the animals with him -- just the few that he was familiar with.

That makes some of the rest of Moses's accounting to be a bit suspicious. Remember, he was an exiled ex-prince, and you can imagine that he'd bear a grudge of his own against Egypt -- and what better way to get even with the royal family than by running off with the superstitious working class?

Also -- check out Matthew and Luke. They don't agree on Joseph's lineage. (And, yes, I know that according to tradition, Luke is giving Mary's lineage. But -- to give Mary's lineage without mentioning Mary would seem uninspired, wouldn't it?)

Probably not. There is quite a bit of it that seems metaphorical to me, and I'm a bit suspicious of some of the translation process. I mean, some of the guys re-writing the Bible during the Middle Ages were NOT nice fellows...

Do you mean, did Lot's daughters really get him drunk and sleep with him? Stuff like that?
It amazes me that the Bible reports these sorts of things....to me, it is proof that it is true, since it represents even it's heroes "warts and all"...
Just read about good ol' King David, for some eye-opening tales!!

Yes in the original MSS, not necessarily the book that we have in front of us, it is a little different than the original works.
