I'm getting to baby ducklings and I'm keeping them in a cage obviously, so my dogs will not bother them, but I am not sure what kind of bedding to use. I know they have very sensative feet. I have some aspen crumble bedding, and some gravel type stuff thats soft but firm.

I just use alfalfa bedding. It's a bit like hay, edible, and actually quite good for them because it provides extra greens. Oh, and it's not really expensive. If you plan on having lots of ducks, there are farms that sell it by the bale for like fifteen dollars.

They sell it in most pet stores for rabbits too. But, it's a really great bedding for ducklings.

Edit: Oh, sorry. To answer the question. No, don't use any non-edible bedding for ducklings. Silly things try to eat everything and then end up impacted.

I agree with the answer above me, from both what I've read and personal experience. Newspaper can cause leg problems because it's so slippery. Plus, ducklings tend to play with their water making it even more slippery. Shredded newspaper is fine though.
But, as I said, they love to play with they're water. Wood chips are good, aspen is fine. AVOID CEDAR - cedar is bad for birds, and other animals like rabbits. But really, any bedding will work, no matter what kind you will need to clean it a few times a day unless you put the ducklings on wire with a pan beneath it.

I have no idea what aspen crumble bedding is, but do not use newspaper, as they will end up with spraddle leg - a nasty deformity. Use kitchen paper, and don't forget they need a heat lamp and chick crumbs which DON'T have a cocciostat in them.

Although most people say newspaper works great, I've read o use paper towels since newspaper can be slick and the ducks can possibly slip on it and their legs probably will look deformed and they might not be able to walk afterwards. With paper towel the duck's feet can "grip" it which probably won't cause any major problems. Just be sure to change the paper towels when they get dirty.
