I'm usually a very active person, but for the past few months I've had trouble getting my butt to the gym. I walk a lot, but I want to work on toning the rest of my body. What are some moves I can do in my living room that will inspire me to start being more active. I used to be a huge pilates fan, but I don't feel like I can even sit through a half hour tape of it ( i know that's pretty bad). I'm thinking if I find some easy exercises that I can do just sitting on the floor at random times of the day it might inspire me to do more.
Anything will be helpful.

Thanks!

I would try alot of bodyweight exercises. They don't require any machines or weights, just your body and some motivation. Three main exercises are hindu squats, hindu push-ups, and the back bridge. Look them up on youtube...you'll see!

Maybe if you looked up some pilates and yoga moves on the internet and memorized your favorite ones, you can do them when you have some free time. Once you feel you have mastered those, branch out to other poses and moves- then if you have trouble with them, jump in a class at the gym and see if they can help you out there.

Take a few yoga classes or rent some videos - it's a good way of trying them out without buying. A lot of this can be done without equipment.

Get 2 chairs with no arms and use them to do a 'prison cell workout'

Put the chairs facing each other and put your heels on one and your palms on the other one and do dips.

Put one chair against the wall, put the tops of your feet on them and do push-ups. It's way better than regular ones.
