Hey Johnson,

The best way is to find your ancestors that are registered with Dawes Roll, and prove with vital records that you are related to that person. So, your Birth record ties you to your mom and dad, and theirs ties them to their mom and dad. Death records and marriage records do the same thing.

Follow the Records. Also, there has recently been accpetance of DNA for Heritage - I am not well versed but here are some DNA sites too.

Why dont you go to a lawyer and ask him to file a case in court against the people whom your to prove to that the Apache chirichua heritage is yours .Go to a good lawyer he will know what to do .All the best .:

Get a blood/dna test done and compare to samples from that native american tribe if possible. Otherwise you might have to prove it though a paper trail that may not be there or very difficult to authenticate.

You need to contact the tribe. And any old photographs, tintypes and documents can help trace records.
