I Maccabees is both historical and (according to scholars) fairly accurate. For some reason, the Protestants threw it out of the Bible.

The Bible does have historical narratives in it, but it is not just a history book. The narratives that are in the Bible are to give us an understanding of where we came from as a people of faith and how God loves and provides for us. The Old Testament has many many narratives, ranging from King Solomon to David to Esther to Ezekiel those known as the "Minor Prophets" (Micah, Nahum, and other prophets towards the end of the OT). The New Testament has the Gospels (the first four books in the NT that tell of the life and ministry of Christ), and much more about how we should live our lives as Christians and how God can change us for the better.
It is important to remember that these stories were often written down later than the actual events and the what the writers wrote was from God. There is a difference between Catholic and Protestant Bibles. The Reformation brought about many changes to the face of Christianity, and one of them is the contents of the Bible. Catholics include a group of books now called the Apocrypha, and Protestant Bibles do not contain these books because many scholars believe that those books are not the word of God but just historical accounts. I am Protestant, not Catholic, so admittedly I have not read much of the Apocrypha to say much more about it.

Yes... sort-of. There's fact and fable mixed together in them like in all ancient chronicles. Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings, 1-2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Daniel from the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) contain historical narratives. Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts in the New Testament also contain historical narratives. But again, remember these are not objectively factual narratives like a news report is supposed to be.
In Bibles for Christians like Roman Catholics, the books of Judith, 1-4 Maccabees, and 1-2 Esdras contain historical narratives.

Sure. The books of Exodus, Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles are certainly historical in nature. Ezra and Nehemiah are partially historical.
Now, are those historical naratives historically accurate? For the most part, ROTFLMAO! Hee, hee! Uh, um, sorry.

Moses really did speak with a burning bush. The Bible fails to mention that he went to the mount to toke up and accidentally dropped his oil lamp, igniting the bush, which he then proceeded to talk to.

It's all "allegory" in both "covenants": Galatians 4.

More Excellent: neither broadmindead nor narrowmindead.

"Beginning" 1: "Fear" hath an end: "torment".
"Beginning" 2: "Sorrows" hath an end: "grief".
Good Grief? An oxyMORON with a Bad ending.
His Grace has neither of such beginnings nor ends.
God: "Perfect Love" has no fear hath torment at all.
"The God of all comfort" hath no Dis-Comfort at all.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I like to think that Job is.
You know, that one where God and the devil have a bet and completely destroy Job's life and kill his family just to see if he will retain his faith in God. That one warms the cockles of my heart.
By the way, you can see some results of the the devil in the following video

None. They're stories that were based on known legends at the time, customized to fit their own God story.
