I sure do, and you should, because pride is a bad thing to have in the eyes of God and Jesus.

You misunderstand. Hating yourself is just another form of pride - just an inversion.

To truly be humble means you are no higher or lower than anyone else. Love is the law - love God, others, and yourself. For only if you love yourself can you hope to love others or God.

Nope...this is not correct... How can you have Jesus in your heart and still have hate in your heart.

And Jesus did say boast in Him.

Furthermore, hate and pride are not to be compared in that way... its either love and hate or humility and pride.

True pride is before a crash.
But hating oneself isn't going to solve the problem.

I hate what is bad, and love what is good. God wants us to think something of ourselves. How else are we to glorify his name? We need humilty in the matter though.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having pride. Even if you have respect for yourself, or don't hate yourself, that doesn't make you proud.
