The answer is no. It doesn't matter how much money you have in this world, if you don't have God and Jesus in your life then you're not going to live your life being completly happy. Knowing God is knowing your ture self.

Well, I know that there are very happy people out there who do not believe in God, so I don't think that you are going to be a miserable person if you are atheist. I do believe however that there is a feeling of having a relationship with God that you can only get from him. Something that you will never get from another human being. I love my husband very much and the love I have for my children is unexplainable. The relationship with my God is so very different. It is a feeling of security. Knowing that no matter what I have peace and comfort in him all my days. To know that there is someone who loves me more than anyone else and who has my best interest at heart at all times.
You can be very happy with your lifenot believe in God, but still be missing out on a very special relationship.
As far as complete happiness, I don't believe you can be without God. I think you will always have a void your trying to fill. You may be happy, but always wonder what that feeling is that aches from the pit of your soul.

The happiest most peaceful relationship I have ever had actually has nothing to do with "God". I have complete happiness, fulfillment and JOY with my husband of 28 years. Sorry if it bursts any ones bubble, but he is a Pagan and I am a Witch! And of course that statement in and of itself will get me a bunch of thumbs down. But it does not matter because what others think has absolutely no affect on my happiness! I wish you all the same bliss one day!

Mine has been with the Lord. Nothing makes me happier to know that He is with me and will never leave me. No matter what I do, no matter what I say, no matter where I go, He is with me and will forgive me if what I did requires it.
Those that don't know God will never know what complete happiness and fulfillment really is. They think they have it, but it's only a taste of what is in store. You are given a sample that you might understand it, but to truely obtain it, you need God.

Probably no, unless you live on a deserted island. Jobs get tough, cell phones break, dogs bite, girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife gets mad, hormones change, grass grows, insurance and taxes goes up, it rains, gets hot, cold, lawn mower will not start. Knowing God does not prevent this, but it can be an unspeakable joy.

Reading the responses you've gotten so far....
Amazing!
The happiest and most peaceful relationship I have ever had, or ever could have is with God, of course.
But, it seems, only those who have truly experienced this relationship can speak about it.
So, for them, the question is moot, isn't it?
