Yes, but not in the way that most people think. What makes the oija board work is the ideomotor effect. In short its your subconsious moving the tablet. Your subconsious mind can move your body wothout you noticing. So, what youare seeing is your subconcious mind at work. Maybe deep desires or putting pieces of the clues together to come up with answers that make sence. Not magic.

The tarot cards work on cold reading. its a technique where the "card reader" or scam artist asks questions and give sugestions. The subject then gives answers and the card reader cold reader) takes that information and turns it into something vaguely familiar that the person recognises. For example,
I say: I think you have a friend or family member that is going through a touht cituation. Perhaps a sickness or economical problem.

you: either agree y nodding, vervaly or other body languege que. So, lets say I notice you say yes. Note that ifthe answer was no then I would change the subject.

I say: Is a guy and I see an N in his name. or is it an O. MAybe John, Bob, tom?....

you: Wow you are so correct.

Here is the trick. How many people do you know have financial problems or physical health problems. At least one. Every body does. Same with John. Every body knows a John or a bob. No magic here.

Anyways, to answer your question, the problem with thisis how deeply the person gets involbe. If the person start believeing too much in this bull crap then its a bad thing. Some people start living their life around these predictions. They make important decisions based on it. A lot of them spend a lot of money in posions and other things to get a bit mre information. Some people get fixsated and it becomes an unhealthy thing so this is why ts bad. It as noting to do with demons that no one has ever been able to prove exist, or the spiritual word, or some psychic power or nothing. Is the involvement level that a person commits to misdirecting their life towards something that is unhealthy for them.

I'm not too religious but if you need a religious excuse then use this one. God help those that help themselves. Sitting around for some spirit or divinity to give you an answer is not going to lead you anywhere. You can only acoplish stuff by actually putting some effort into it.

Just an adendum. Why is it that peoples first responce to things is the supernatural. Just because you don't know how something works it doesn't mean that there is some supernatural force behind it. Al it means is that you don't know how it works. Just like you don't have to be a mechanic to drive a car. Always ask yourself this question on anything. Which is more likely, that some supernatural force is acting on X or Y thing or that there is a simple natural effect that if studied and with time can be understood? 100% of the time is the later. Noone to this date has been able to prove the existance of demons or any supernatural or paranormal ability. Yes, they have anecdotal accounts but ask any judge and you will know that anecdotal accounts are extremly unrealiabel. When all these things are put under a well control scientific experiment they all fall flat on their faces. I mean not even in a funny way. Go to you tube and watch the most gruesome skateboarder video falling flat on their face and braking their skull. Thats nothing compared to how miserably these "psychics" or supernatural phenomna fail. Like I always say. Talk is cheap. If you can't prove it then alyou have is bull s_hit in your hands.

It's kind of hard to honestly belive you are contacting the other side when the device you are using to do so says Parker Brothers and made in China on it. Tarot cards are randomly shuffled and Ouija boards depend on minute ideomotor movements.

Penn and Teller proved the falsehood of Ouija boards by using their Ouija board blindfolded. Naturally none of the words or anything spelled out made sense. You are not actually contacting your dead relatives or the spirit of Adolf Hitler on something you bought at Toys R' Us or from some schizzed out old hippie at a book store.

Sadly superstitious imbiciles in large groups hold a lot of sway with the masses.

No. But I'm not Christian. Though I will say I've experienced some interesting paranormal activity after using ouija boards. It was not always pleasant, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's dangerous since no one ever got hurt. I've never had a problem with tarot cards and have actually found them quite helpful.

If I was in control of a religion that taught only one way to heaven, and that souls were spending time Roasting or Praying, I think I would be threatened if a Game Piece started moving of its own accord and telling me stories from the here after. Especially if the Ghost contradicted what the bible stated.

"I am your uncle Jim, I died as a good Christian, and now I live in the bathroom sink. That heaven stuff isn't true......Make sure you live it up while you can before you end up as an apparition in an appliance like me."

I guess that would be spiritually dangerous, or at least dangerous to the credibility of my teachings.

If the practitioner is depending on "spirits" to divine answers, then yes, there is the possibility of an evil presence to be invited into their life. You are giving permission for an outside entity to control you. Divination and soothsaying are considered evil practices.

Real life situation; back in my agnostic days, I had a friend who did Tarot readings for people. One day something happened that caused him to quit immediately. He would not talk about it, but he obviously was very frightened and never touch a deck again.

Tarot cards are just a randomly shuffled deck of cards that a reader makes conclusions from. Anyone can do that. More accurately if you studied the images and what their supposed meanings are.

Ouija boards are unique, it turns out the people tend to be less resistant to the direction they're thinking of. The slightest accidental tap in one direction will lead you to a letter, number, answer, etc. To test this: Ask someone to hide something like your wallet. Tell them to hold their arm out and let you move their arm around. Ensure that they're thinking of where the item is. Their varying levels of resistence will guide you.

They're just interesting games.

I knew the danger of ouija boards, and the forces of evil, long before I knew The Truth of God. These are things that should not be taken lightly... even"playing" with a ouija board can summon, and make one vulnerable to, the forces of evil... Tarot cards are no different than ouija boards in this...The forces of evil are very real...and they can cause great harm... even to influencing bringing about death.... Yes, I have seen, and experienced, evil from ouija boards... and more directly and personaly from other methods... evil is not to be "played" with.

No......there's always some jerk pushing the pointer to the letters on the Ouija board or not shuffeling the tarot cards right and always deal you the "Death" card. No worries at all my friend.

No. Tarot cards are actually used in a game in France (can't remember the name), so I'd put them in that category.

It depends if you are opening yourself up to forces/beings and which ones you are opening yourself up to.

They are potentially dangerous - oujia boards moreso than tarot. Ouija boards are specifically contacting other entities...tarot often is your own subconscious (but not always).
