2 by a previous marriage. He didn't want anymore and it is probably a goot thing since we are not together anymore. However, I would have like to have had one with my now husband, but he got fixed after his two...

We originally wanted 2. Then after our daughter was born (for the first 2 months) we wanted just her because we couldn't imagine a more perfect child and had trouble understanding how parents could love any child more than their first one. Once the newness wore off, we wanted 4. We wanted 4 for a long time. Now I'm pregnant with number 2. All is gong well. They will be 16 months apart. We want a 3rd when our oldest is about 4 or 5.
We might stop at 3 because of our ages. If we have a 3rd in the time we want it, I'll be 32 and my husband will be 35. We won't be too old for a 4th, but our health and ages are something to consider.
So our number right now is 3, but a 4th is always an option. It sure would be nice if 3 and 4 could come in one package!

I would like to have 3 children. I always thought I did not want kids; I've seen it done wrong and dread making the same mistakes - and I'd hate for my children to hate me!!
Children are a life-long commitment, not just an 18-year-deal and well, I never felt ready for that before. If I did have children, it has always been my mind-set that they would be my #1 priority over everything else, but I never planned on having any until just recently;
I am now with the love of my life and I want to spend forever with him. Together I know we'd be fantastic parents. We had a 'taste' of what it might be like when I fell pregnant but unfortunately miscarried. I know I want children with him, and I know that I'll be a great mom... though my kids will probably hate me; I believe in disciplin and that love means more than letting children do whatever they want because it's easier than saying "no" and sticking to your guns... Having children will be hard but I know that it's what I want from life.
I decided three; i don't think it's fair to have an only child - who would they share things with? Who would they wake up and go "His been he's been!" on christmas morning?? Three seems a nice number, I had two siblings and it was nice.
In my dreams I have two boys, Charlie and Jack, and a girl called Anna.
But I recently had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and we're not entirely sure this will all be possible ... Wish me luck?

I never used to want any but when I had my baby girl I wanted as many as I could have! My boyfriend wants three but we'll see how things turn out with money and our housing situation-you need a pretty big house with loads of kids! I cant wait to have a big family!

I have two and we may have a third but that is a big question mark for us right now. My husband wants another, but I am not leaning towards that. I had very bad pregnancy both times and not sure if I am willing to go throught that again.

I USED to say I wanted to give birth to five kids. Then, I would adopt five more - making it so I had five and adopted five - and I wanted five boys and girls. So if I had three boys, I'd adopt two, etc.
However, right now I have 8 girls and one boy with three boys on the way... plus my eldest daughter is pregnant with a boy. So. There you go.

I have two, and it is because I think any more would be difficult to take care of (for me, as my husband works 7 days a week)...I think it is important to talk to your partner, and decide together

I've never wanted any. I've known that since I was 10- I always wanted to travel and have fun, and I never liked kids.

I don't have children now, but it has already been decided between me and my wife that if we have a kid, we are having one and only one child. We're not even sure if we'll ever get around to having a kid at all, and I'm ok with that, too.
I am strictly against people having large amounts of children. I personally think that having more than 2 children is not only crazy, but adds to the out of control overpopulation of the world. At least if every couple had only 2 children, then they would only be replacing themselves and not adding more people. I am having one because, for one, I just don't want any more than that. I think one will be more than enough. Two, I have to try and make up for all those people having 3, 4, 5+ kids.
