Lap dances and going to any place where the entertainment is strippers is cheating. Additionally, and in my view more of an insult is the fact that it's disrespectful to the woman you consider your partner. There is no need for touching in any form to constitute cheating. These men are commiting what is termed 'emotional infidelity', and is defined as maladaptive behavior within the construct of a monogomous adult relationship. Sexual contact is not a prerequisite. The only determinant is that a man give the type and quality of attention to a woman other than the women to whom he has entered into an exclusive relationship. For example to notice an attractive woman when in public is not cheating, until he looks at her in a way and with the same intent that only his partner deserves. Part of being exclusive with another person is the understanding that they alone will be your object of affection. This is reciprical to both woman and men. Both have agreed to accept the other as the single person with whom they will share their sexuality. Cheating occurs when the attention, consideration, or interest that has been promised to that one woman, is directed onto another {the stripper}. The concept that the wife or g/f is fine for everyday use, but strippers are 'special' is demeaning, disrespectful, and untimately insulting. Imagine telling his 6 year old daughter that your daddy loves your mommy, but when he really wants to be happy, he leaves and watches other mommies instead. Imagine the effect that perfectly accurate statement would have on the way in which she views her father. Girls define how men treat women by observing the way her father treats her mother. This is extremely important in the maturation of a girl since the behaviors she observes in her father will be the behaviors she will accept from the men in her relationships. Children define what is socially acceptable by modeling the behaviors of their parents.
To add perspective, I am a 42 year old straight man, divorced 15 years ago, with no children. I am retired since the age of 39 and have never cheated. Ever. I won't even act or speak in a way that I feel is inappropriate. After retiring, I returned to school to study medicine. My g/f is 27 and will have her first doctorate in just over a year.

If your girlfriend or wife is a career stripper then of course her working is not cheating, so that kind of invalidates your point.
Why would married woman who is not a stripper want to lap dance on strange guys for FREE, when even strippers find so distasteful that they have to be paid to do it? I don't think her husband/boyfriend would call it cheating, I think he would just call it gross.
Maybe you should have asked is it OK for a married woman to go to a male strip club and get a lap dance, and I would say, yes, if it's OK for the man it should be OK for the woman. No hypocracy, no taste of own medicine, RITE?
PS: It's spelled "RIGHT"

Dang you sound really confused...
But to answer your question. Strippers and lap dances are not cheating. I don't like either, myself. But it's healthy for guys to want sex. It's how they were made. It's genetic to want to spread your seed anywhere and everywhere. The key is how you deal with it. Are they having sex with any of these girls? No.
I suppose they could bottle it up and get some kind of mental disease. To each his own.
On the other hand, if a guy is going to strip clubs every day, there's a problem.

One difference, strippers are professionals. If a wife/ girlfriend went and saw male strippers peform or got a male lap dance if there is such a thing then I think that would be ok.

Too much caffeine this morning sweetheart? I am a man and I fully acknowledge that lap dancing is a form of cheating. That's why I don't tell my wife when I get one. In the meantime, if you are looking for revenge by giving lap dances I will be more than willing to accommodate you.

First of all, not all men do that. Second, it actually makes sense. I mean, it is kind of stupid for one to be upset over a misconception but if it is obvious what he is doing then I agree. Yet woman, think the same when they apparently have a friend who is a man and may be married or something. Woman are as vindictive as men are, so why fight it. You girls can be as much as a jerk as us men can be, so why try to act as you have no fault in divorces and break-ups.. I'm just saying.

Wow I sense lots of anger here. I dont really agree with you here. Although I am not a big advocate of making weekly visits to the strip clubs I dont think there is anything wrong with a guy going with his friends every now and again.

This is from a guy. First of all a guy who goes to one of those places doesn't either think much of his relationship, whether wife, or gf. Or he doesn't have much of a relationship.
Second, if a girl lowers herself to the level of these SLUTS that are doing this, than she is no better, and deserves NOTHING!!!!
