I Had My Tongue Done 2 Years Ago And The Only Thing That Hurt Was The Swelling Because It Bruised But Other Than That I Didn't Feel A Thing It Depends On Your Pain Tolerance Though And Also The Person You Are Being Pierced By.

No!

The actual piercing didn't hurt. It felt like a pinch. The clamp was the worse thing about it.

It was swollen afterwards, but it was nothing unbearable. Eat ice and take advil and it should be fine.

Go to a professional, because your tongue is a very dangerious thing to self-pierce. I'm totally anti-selfpiercing, but especially with tongues. :)

I have had mine done for about 7 years now.

When i went and had it done i was damn nervous, the woman before me had hers done too and it bled like heck. i went in, cried a bit. then we got on with it! he numbed my tongue, held it out with a clamp and stuck a needle thru it. that was it! i didn't feel a thing! having my ears pierced hurt more! my tongue was swollen for a few days and it took me a while to get use to eating and not biting it but after 24 hours i was able to eat normal food as long as i was careful and get off the soup!

I Had my tongue pierced a couple months ago.
It can be dangerous.
Such as swelling and blocking your windpipe at night or going through a vein.
The numbing stuff tastes pretty rough!
But its like a knife going through butter when the needle goes through.
It bled loads.
And then the numbing stuff wore off and it ached alot,
and over the next week or so it swelled up and i spoke funny,
and i couldnt eat alot, drank soup through a straw for my lunches.
Dont try and eat noodles on the second day,
you will cry if you try that.
LOL.
but now its all good and whatnot.
You've gotta be pretty brave.
:]

I dont think it hurt much, and I've had mine done twice (2nd was though scar tissue), but I also kind of like the pain. It is nothing but a little pinch, and a lot of drool- afterwards it is slightly sore, but nothing unbearable. just stay away from foods that may be too acidic, salty, etc. or that may irritate the new piercing.

Yes... Everything hurts... I have my tongue pierced, and while I didn't feel it, I've had friends who said it hurt them a lot... It depends on the person...

Getting it done is weird more than painful- they clamp your tongue. However, it does hurt loads afterwards as your tongue swells up and is really tender. A word of advice- don't eat crisps until it has healed - ouch!

it really depends on your pain tolerance level..i will agree with everyone else-the piercing doesnt hurt-the clamping of your tongue is uncomfortable & the recovering process can be the worse (depending on the kind of spices you like to eat)..BUT it really does depend on you..once its done-theyre alot of fun..good luck..
