A good parent would make sure to be there and pick their own kids up. Remember that.

if its a regular thing she should have remembered. and it was her fault not yours. if it was a one time thing its easy to forget. once in hs i had a field trip that didnt get back until after the buses had left and my mom was supposed to pick me up. but one of my sisters needed something and she forgot. i had to call her and tell her to come get me. but by the time she was able to get there i had already been waiting for a couple of hours. being with your dad was not an excuse either, they both couldve gotten them. shes probably more upset at herself right now than she is at you. but shes taking it out on you. which isnt fair i know but that happens. next time remind her before you guys leave for school. "hey mom i have that thing after school today so you need to get the girls." something like that might work. suck it up, even though you got grounded you know your right, and so does your mom.

Your mom is definitely wrong, she made the mistake forgetting the Monday routine. She should be proud that you are going to mentoring and help with the car pool situation. It was an error on her part and it's ok for mom's to make mistakes but you shouldn't be punished for it. Good Luck.

It is that parents responsiblity to make sure they know where their child is at all times and who the child is with.

The blame is lack of communication. 1 day out of the week your mom is to pick up your sisters, she forgot, she should put this on the fridge to remind her of this, or program it in her phone.

Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to remind your mom, after all she is getting older.

Poor excuse for a mom. Any good parent takes full responsibility to ensure their children make it to and from school. Sounds like she forgot and is just trying to shift the blame. I would make sarcastic remarks about her irresponsible behavior for many months to come but your mom is just a step and a smart a** response away from being abusive as well so I would watch my mouth. Nothing you can do to convince her otherwise just pray for god to protect you and especially your younger siblings until you all turn 18.
Good for you doing volunteer work.

WRONG! Sounds like your mom is the type who can't accept responsibility for her actions. SHE forgot, not you! How were you supposed to know she'd forget? Can you tell the future? Sorry you were punished for her mistake. Way unfair.

She should have told you that she wasn't going to be there today to pick them up and she should have reminded you. She is the parent after all...
