I am studying religion and am curious if any other religions out there can prove there athority. I have only found one church that can which is the LDS or Mormon church and they can do it with the bible & further scripture.
Read Genesis Ch. 14 Where it speaks of Melchizedek. This area of scripture has taken much time and praying to understand.
People claim the book of Mormon is another bible but in fact it is another testimont of Christ.
I have always wondered what Christ meant when he said I have sheep else where. Which made me think maybe there is other scripture. I have prayed and believe that it is our duty to seek out god in everyway possible it is our duty.
I am seeking honesty and fact's. Not mans belief but Gods words. Please keep contentious coments & your own beliefs to your self aswell as miss interpurtations of scripture. I have heard all scriptures for people but they are miss understanding there meaning.

Are you trying to find out what church to join?
If so, try these scriptures:
James 1:5
Proverbs 3:5-6
I would quote them here, but I don't have my scriptures with me and I do not wish to mis-quote them.
Amen to everything you have said so far.

2Ti 4:2 preach the Word, be urgent in season, out of season, convict, warn, encourage with all long-suffering and teaching.
2Ti 4:3 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up to themselves teachers tickling the ear;
2Ti 4:4 and they will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.
Do you really seek honesty and facts? Then you must know the book of Mormon is not another revelation of Christ, it was written by Joseph Smith, who plagiarized it from other writings. The other sheep Jesus spoke of were Gentiles, since He was speaking to a Jewish audience. If you really want to know the truth about the LDS church, go to these sights:

expensive Brother, i visit't answer for yet another human being. i visit listen for your anger and distain for Injustice. the human beings of any and all religions are in undemanding words as real as they percieve themselves. All mankinds Hatred, Pains, Killings at the prompt are not brought about by ability of agencies. they're brought about by ability of the "EGO" of the human beings in potential of those communities. All that i visit "Justly" pray for is that you do not follow of their footsteps and may the way in which to conquer your ego so as now to not develop into as they were. For out of Forgiveness, you'll see what God hasn't ever (Nor WILL ever) practice those souls. stay and enable Die: we truly do not have the different decision.

Like Jesus said:
It is early in the morning, and Jesus and his disciples are already on their way over the Mount of Olives to Jerusalem. As they arrive at the temple, the chief priests and the older men are quick to confront Jesus. Fresh on their minds is his action against the money changers and the traders in the temple. His enemies venomously demand: "By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority?" "I, also, will ask you one thing," Jesus counters. "If you tell it to me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things: The baptism by John, from what source was it? From heaven or from men?" Huddling together, the opponents reason: "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say to us, 'Why, then, did you not believe him?' If, though, we say, 'From men,' we have the crowd to fear, for they all hold John as a prophet." Stumped, they weakly answer: "We do not know." Jesus calmly responds: "Neither am I telling you by what authority I do these things."—Matthew 21:23-27.

NO one can claim authority to preach the word of god. Most religions have a book they may think god wrote or inspired but there is no proof of any of it.

No religion can say they are the ultimate authority! Each one uses the same basis as they are correct and nobody else is.

The Gospel is the authority. That is what EVERYTHING has to measure up to. And I am sorry but the book of mormom does not stand up to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
