The pain I am having is below bad ear, left side, into jaw, face and neck. 3 years now. I've shown swelling to doctors at VA, no real response, they think I am just a drug seeking patient. But the odor is bad, along with drainage. (they can't say I'm faking that) It took 2 years to convience them I was having headaches, I was accused of faking to get drugs, then they found tumor, told I could become paralized any moment. Still in files that I am drug seeking, have written many letters to get changed, to no avail. But that's the VA, if you need pain med, your just faking to get drugs. Everyone is treated that way. When they are proved wrong, won't admit mistake, won't prescribe badly needed drugs. So many of us Vets suffer, because DEA with no degree in Med or Pharm, tell doctors what thay can prescribe. We can get shot, but we can't get med for pain.

this sounds like an infection in the atic area of the ear smells like something crawled in and died see ent specialist a swab of the puss from the ear will tell what type of micro organism it is you meybe able to be treated with a gram positive and a gram negative antibiotic to clear it up otherwise a operation to remove the infected matter if it involves the mastoid bones in the ear maybe required i.e Mastoidectomy

Sounds like an infection. You need to make an appointment with the hospital administrator and file a formal complaint about your treatment.

You need to be seen by a medical professional. If you wait it could get worse and you may not like the treatment.
