Haha ok LISTEN TO ME:
DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR HAIR!!! I used it one summer [both in the sun and with a hair dryer], it KILLED my hair it was fried to a crisp, it was so puffy and bad [ i'm 1/2 asian and i HAD naturally straight hair, and a darker brown] even when i straighted it it still was poofy. My hair also turned orange, mind you not orange like a pretty red head im talkin' macaroni and cheese orange, arg it was horrible! I had to go to the salon and strip eveverything out of my hair and recolor it all. Even now my hair isn't straight anymore what it used to be its wavy and semi frizzy from that stuff, its horrible.
My friend who has dirty blonde hair used it as well, she didnt see any effects or change in color to her hair.
Honestly, hilights or color ARE and CAN BE expensive, but its worth it, a $5 bottle of sun in is NOT NOT NOT at all worth it.

Before I started dying my hair professionally, I used this product. Make sure you get the non-alcohol base that has conditioners in it.
Do you have proccessed hair already? If so, I say don't use it. It's OK to use otherwise, just make sure you don't over do it and that you use extra conditioners in your hair afterwards!!!
You can also use a mix of lemon and water and your fav. conditioner into a spray bottle for a more suttle effect.
Good luck!

Don't use it. The results are not predictable at all. It's hair bleach diluted. When you use a blowdryer or sit in the sun it reacts with your hair and lightens it.
The only problem is that if you hair is brown it won't give you lovely blond hair--it'll turn it a reddish, brassy color. I'd be careful if I were you.

it's not good for your hair - but neither is going to a salon and having them do it. I used sun-in when I was in high school. ( i have blondish hair already) and it didn't ruin my hair. Just make sure you use a good conditioner and you'll be fine.

I used Sun-In all the time when I was a teenager and 20's. It will not hurt your hair. Don't know where you live but beware of the sun. I've had a lot of skin cancer removed off my face. Sun-in works with the hair dryer. This is safer then the sun!!!

It is the worst ever your better off sticking lemon juice in a spray bottle and using that...You really should just get highlights and stay away from the sun in!

I use it on my daughters' hair during the winter. Their hair is blonde but it gets drabby looking in the winter so I spray it on and it does a nice job bringing the shiny blonde color back. Their hair is very silky and healthy looking.

On dark hair (any shade of brown or black) it will make your hair orange or brassy. I don't recommend it.
Any chemical isn't good for your hair, but if used in moderation and without over processing, you can still maintain your healthy look.

Don't use it. I tried it yrs ago & it fried my hair. Since then I dutifully pay my $ to my hairdresser for highlights & my hair has never been healthier.

Whoa! What ever you do, don't use Sun In. That stuff is crap! It will make your hair orange and damage it.
