My boyfriend says even tho we fight often he's happy and convinced he wished to marry me. I say, that love is not enough to have a healthy, happy marriage and that, tho i love him, if we fight so much, we should NOT get married. I know fighting from time 2 time is normal and that resolving conflicts can bring couples closer...but i want some input on this issue. Personal experience stories will help too.

Honestly, my husband I fought a lot before we got married and fight more now!! I think that if you see red flags before you get married, DON'T DO IT! If you think he's the one that you need to be with, go to counseling and try to get help in advance. It is a lot easier to get out of the relationship now than it will be once you are married.

I've been with my guy 8 months, and we're absolutely crazy about eachother, which is why I don't understand why we still fight all the time?! We fight at least 3 times a week, and sometimes argue once or twice a day. Its gotten worse as time has gone on, and I really don't know why. A few nights ago (on our 8 month ann.) we almost called it quits): but we managed to work through it, and now it seems like there's nothing there at all. It's like we're starting over...I honestly think we need a little time off just to figure things out, but I can't stand the thought of not seeing him or talking to him every day..So really what you need to do is just talk with him. But do not say sorry if it's his fault and you know and he knows it is. It'll just make him appreciate you less and less until he knows he can just walk all over you. We also plan to get married, and we have a lot more good times than bad. I'd rather argue with him than kiss anyone else(: Hope I helped!

It all depends on your nature. I personally cannot live with somebody who argues too much. Anyone who speaks above a certain decibel is just not worth my energy. But I see some women who love a good argument. It's all about how you can resolve an issue...by talking, compromising etc or by showing force??

Depends what kind of fighting. If it is negotiation fight, that is vital part of your relationship. Negotiation is vital to living with and loving another person. You can only negotiate if you believe that you are each entitled to a solution which satisfies both of you. Try to convert those fights into simple negotiation, you guys disagree on something do it on mature, civil way and you'll be fine.

My dad always said a couple will fight when they really love one another. It is like coming and going as you choose in a relationship, when a couple does not care what the other does they will not get upset.

u dont understand relationship then
there are always arguments
havent u noticed other peoples in relationship that they consisting fights
its because they either fight over little careless things or they feel vulnerable to the other person so there fore there defense mechanism urges them to protect themselves and fight

the best remedy is to not fight and be the bigger person just stay calm and resolve any issue
i know its easier said then done but it will work
