I have 4 boys my oldest being 15 and my youngest being 20 monthes old! I love every second I have with them and if you love children as much as I do and if you want to spend the time it takes then by all means GO FOR IT! There is no such thing as too many when it comes to a good mom who loves kids. My step-mom has 12 brothers and sisters...that might be pushing it for me!

I would say that all depends on you and your life situation. I know several ladies who have 10 or more children. For the most part they are doing a wonderful job, there are a couple that I would say should have stopped a little sooner. Some things to think about...are you pretty well settled in? would be able to afford having 4 or more children financially? do you have the strength to keep up with more children? Is this something your husband wants too? do you have enough room for more?

I am sure there are many more questions that could be answered, but if after answering these and any others you might have you come up with even one doubt, I would really think it over before jumping in! I am a mama to two babies (6months-adopted & 3 months) and am loving every minute of it. I personally wish I could have two or three more.

i dont think it's too many at all. i mean i guess it all depends on if you can handle it or not. however, i feel that if you thought 3 were too much to handle already then you woudlnt consider a 4th, b/c what would be the point then. and if you only want four.. then onyl have four. There are 5 kids in my family... 5 girls, and i dont think my parents could be happier, and we are all very close in age... 23, 22, 21, 18.. but my youngest sister is 12. yea, it may be hard sometimes... but heyy thats life. yea there are times when my parents are overwhelmed, and frustrated... but it happens to everyone. Someone with one child could have more difficulty than someone with 3. It all depends on the person. If you feel like your ready for a 4th, and your situation of life right now will be able to handle it, then go for it... if not... dont worry. if it's what you really want, then it'll happen.. you'll be able to make it happen.

I think 3 is too many, why do you need to have more? What is the purpose of having so many?

If this were the 1800's, you would need to have a half dozen kids, because half of them would die before they reached adulthood. You also probably needed more kids to work on your farm.

Nowadays, the infant mortality rates are much lower, and people live much longer. There are 6 billion people on this planet, and people who have more than 2 kids per couple are only adding to the problem.

As long as you love children, can handle them & are financially stable enough to afford it then why not?

My mom is one of 10 kids. A friend of mine wants 6. One of my neighbors have 4. A couple who are long time friends of my parents have 4 kids.....

I see nothing wrong with it. Have fun & good luck ;-)

I think, being a mother of 4 myself, if you have the patience and the love then go for it. Also, have you ever thought of taking in a child that someone else has done all the labor and delivery for you. An unwanted child who needs some love and care?

This is really a personal question. If you have the means to support the children, and you want them, then why not.

Can you afford to pay for them all? If yes, then go ahead and have as many as you want. Just don't have them and then expect the rest of the taxpayers to help support them.

you must be really organized! I have one and think that is plenty. My sister has two and is debating on more... The way i look at it is ... if your children listen and are well behaved and money isn't an issue for college or university later down the road then go for it!

I believe that 4 kids is not that many to people that can afford to have all those childeren. If you can finacial and emotional support all your kids then I would say go for it!!
