I thought I heard that a dog got the swifer liquid on their paws,licked it and died- But I am not sure-
Has anyone heard about this?

yes it is, but it is only poisonous over a very long period of time. in order for it to have fatal results he would have to consume the bottle of fluid - not fatal just by licking his feet. if you're still worried - simple green is ecofriendly and pet safe.

Yes I have heard of dogs having an allergic reaction to swifer cleaner liquid and also to febreeze. I haven't heard it was poisonous, just giving some dogs hives and such.

I dont think so. When I use it my cat likes to lick it off the floor (which I put an immediate stop to!!!) but if it was THAT poisonous she would have gotten sick from it. It is a chemical so I'm sure if she consumed enough it would make her sick but from simply licking it off her paws I really doubt.

I haven't heard this and I have four dogs in the house and use Swifter. Haven't had any problems.

this warning email can be filed under"THE SKY IS FALLING"category, it is false. Unless you are forcing your pet to drink this stuff, it won't hurt him

i've heard of it. it was the wet type. once we heard that we threw out everything that was wet made by swifter. I never did get the full details. Can you post it when you do?
