You can install it on as many computers as you boght licenses of it.

If you only bought one copy, 1 computer.
If you bought two copies, 2 computers.

well technically your allowed only to install it on 1 pc, since its you only get 1 licenece with the product, u can get multi user licience from microsoft but these are rather expensive.
or you can get like the other person openoffice, which is a lot like ms office, and u can install this on as many pcs as you like.

It depends on the version, and on where/how you got it. Student/Teacher edition can be installed on up to 3 computers, for example. I'm not sure about other versions
