vaccines are made from protiens and therefore are contraindicated for IV administration.

No, like the person above me said vaccines are made from proteins and are contraindication from IV administration (contraindication- is defined as a condition or factor that increases the risks involved in using a particular drug, carrying out a medical procedure or engaging in a particular activity, or a factor that makes certain procedures in drug administration inadvisable~ meaning basically no).

1) No I/V( strictly contraindicated).
2) Preferably Subcutaneous has better results
3)Intramuscular can be given.
4) Don't use spirit or alcohol for sterilizing the site of injection.
5) Ask your physician if in doubt.

No. It's IM only. Besides, if you are sick, they are not going to give it to you. Flu season has passed for that specific virus. You should have gotten the vaccine back in November. Yes, there are other viruses out there---but the flu shot will not protect you from them.

I believe it's most effective delivered intramuscular--through a muscle.
