You'd be surprised how "easy" it is to find. I would first look in the ethnic section of your large supermarket chains. If not, I would go to an ethnic Asian market. It doesn't have to be Vietnamese. I bought my last batch from a Chinese grocer.

The ethnic grocer would probably be a more economical choice (cheaper).

If you cannot find them in your grocery store, any Asian or Oriental store will have them, I buy mine in a store were I live, or if I am in Toronto Canada, there is a large Asian community there and they have sizes for the 6" to 10" variety and some with sesame seeds.

If your make salad rolls for cold dishes, for hot fried types, you need to brush them with an egg
wash to add colour, I used ground pork, glass noodles, carrots and bean sprouts all briefly sauted with garlic, ginger and five spice powder, if the filling is partly cooked it will cook faster when frying.

I was a chef in Canada and live in a number of citys will Asian communities and have had or made them in my catering days with hotels and other operations.

I like to make the vinegar and chili based dipping sauce, but hoisin sauce is just as good.
