I have always enjoyed the looks of the Grenada, but in regards to it being a "good" car or not.
Any car can be a good car or a lemon, it all depends on how it is maintained.
One thing to consider is that it will be a carb'd engine and the older cars like this do not get good mileage anymore because of the changes in fuel(s)
If you have a choice in cars, get something with a fuel injected engine. (if you really want the Granada, and you can do the upgrades, you can make the engine a mechanical fuelie with some of the aftermarket companies;

yeah, it can be. just make sure the brakes are in good shape .Also check the exaust for rust, and leaks. I bought one used when it was five years old with 80,000 miles on it.It was a great car. I drove it for three years and sold it to my nephew. It had 140,000 miles on it when he finally sold it. so the answer to your question is yes.

If it's an American model I wouldn't recommend it, they were pretty gutless cars and they are prone to rust, I hear the English models were alot better than the American models.

Oh boy! My mother had one and until the day the engine blew up I wouldn't let her drop me off at school in it.
