just purchased a 91 Chevy Beretta, I have done good maintenence to it, now all I need are good speakers. I have a snatch out cd player in it, but the speakers are very low and monotone, the guy who sold me the car said I should get new speakers back there. So I am looking for speakers between the price range of $60-$90 dollars, nothing with too much heavy bass but good sound quality bass and treble and something that will play loud enough for people to hear outside the car in the summer. What brand of speakers should I look for? how many watts? power? and what size? and where can I purchase them from? and how should I go about installing the speakers?

go to www.crutchfield.com look at boston acoustics and mb quart they are the top of the line for car audio. these speaker have a high sensitivity rating which means they will play louder with less power, instaliing speakers is really easy you should have no trouble.

I would first look on your local city, state, craig's list. If nothing, a few years ago, shuck's auto supply, had these 15" good quality speakers for 35$ a peice. I have them now in the trunk of my 2002 chevy.cavalier. I also purchased a box and a 1200 W amplifier. It sounds great!!!

get down to a car audio store and have a listen to what they are offering, you are sure to find something that sounds good, as for installing speakers ask the store if they install if you are not sure how to do it as a bad installation will leave you with a bad sound even if you use the best speakers in your price range, if you decide to do it yourself be aware of position and polarity

I have a 1993 Chevy Beretta and I have Audiopipe 6X9's. They arent extremely expensive namebrand stuff, but they are high quality and sound really really good. They also have some good bass to them, but it doesnt overdo the actual music. You can find these on the internet.
