I think I have one and there is a bump growing underneath. How can I get rid of it? If I can?

A hair that gets trapped below the skin surface and causes a little bump and may itch. They can become infected though.

It is hair that grows underneath your skin. This happens when you do a very close shave and it takes off a layer of skin. The hair starts to grow back where you shaved as well as the skin. It then starts to grow, but doesn't have a place to go as it is trapped underneath the skin and starts to grow sideways. This causes blackheads or a acne like bump and is usually painful. I've had them on my knees a lot.

It's a hair that almost grows underneath the skin. It's usually caused by shaving.

That is when a hair never breaks through the skin and grows right under the top layer (or few layers). You can usually see it and if you gently scrape away the layer of skin it will be a regular hair.

I have these on my legs which is very annoying to handle after shaving or waxing.
