if I go to traffic school, will my insurance still go up, even though I went to traffic school?

I cannot speak for other states, but in California, if you go to traffic school the report to DMV is confidential and your insurance company does NOT know about it. Perhaps the rule is different in other states, though I would think that unlikely.

If you go a second time within 18 months, that report would not be confidential and your insurance company would know about it. It would not, however, be a point, which is sometimes important for commercial drivers.

going to traffic school is only a part of the consequence...were you put on probation for 6-12 months? that is important...if you can make it thru probation without another moving violation...the ticket may not show up on record.
